Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

As much as I love cooking, there's nothing like coming home

to a hot and ready meal when you walk through the door!

I believe there are some different variations to this recipe,

but I'm really fond of this particular one...

Hope you enjoy as much as I did!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

3-4 boneless chicken breasts
1/2 cup sour cream
1 --8oz. pkg cream cheese, cubed
1 small diced onion
1 cup fresh baby bella mushrooms, sliced
2 T. butter, softened
2 T. minced garlic
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 pkg dry Italian Salad Dressing and Recipe Mix

1 pkg egg noodles or rice

Stir the chicken, butter, onions, garlic, mushrooms
and Italian dressing-recipe mix into
a greased crock pot and cook 3-4 hours on high.

Now stir in the sour cream, cubed cream cheese, and soup; cook an additional 30 minutes or until heated through.

During this time, prepare your noodles or rice.

Serve over the noodles or rice...
great with a side of steamed veggies!

The delicious cast of characters...

In the crockpot, place the chicken breasts, the melted butter,
the dry Italian dressing mix, the minced garlic,
the diced onion, the mushrooms...

You can cook it on high for 4 hours or on low
for 6 hours before you add the remaining ingredients...

In a large bowl, combine the cream cheese, the sour cream
and the cream of mushroom soup...

Stir into the chicken mixture...
Cook an additional hour...

Serve the chicken stroganoff over noodles or rice
and a side of delicious steamed veggies!
