Chocolate Lasagna

What could be better than gooey, cheesey, saucy homemade Lasagna?

Chocolate Lasagna of course!

Rich, creamy, chocolatey heaven on your plate!  Enjoy!

 Chocolate Lasagna

1 Pkg Chocolate Oreo Cookies

6 TBSP butter, melted

8 oz cream cheese at room temperature

1/4 cup sugar

2 TBSP milk

16 oz cool whip, divided

2 small pkgs chocolate instant pudding

3 1/4 cups cold milk

1 1/2 cups mini chocolate chips

Crush the cookies in your food processor

until they are fine crumbs.

Pour the crumbs into a large bowl
and add the melted butter.
Stir with a fork to mix well.

Press the crumbs into the bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.

In your mixing bowl, mix the cream cheese

until light and fluffy.

Add the 2 TBSP milk and sugar and mix well.
Fold in 1 1/2 cups cool whip and spread
the mixture over the crust.

Next, combine the chocolate pudding
with the 3 1/4 cups cold milk.
Whisk for several minutes until the
pudding starts to thicken.

Spread over the cream cheese layer.
Allow to rest about 5 minutes and then sprea
the remaining cool whip on the top.

Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips evenly over the top.

Refrigerate for 4 hours before serving.

The yummy beginnings...

Open happiness--otherwise named...Chocolate Oreos...

Crush the oreos in a food processor...

This was the easiest way to spread the crumbs...

In your mixing bowl, add the milk to the cream cheese...

Pour in the sugar...

Blend until smooth and creamy...

Add the whipped cream and fold in gently with the mixer...

Spread this cream cheese layer on next...

I decided to mix the chocolate layer next in the same mixing bowl...

who cares if some of the cream cheese from the paddle
accidentally gets added to the chocolate...

just saying...

I'll take my chances!

Mmmm...chocolate wonderfulness...

Gently spread this over the cream cheese layer...

A little blurry, but promising none the less...

Plop the remaining whip cream strategically
over the chocolate layer...

I have dreamed it...or I have seen chocolate whipped cream...
I could not find any, but I thought
that would be a lovely substitution....
if it really exists!

Spread it gently to cover and then top with
the adorable mini chocolate chips...

After waiting the 4 agonizing hours of refrigeration time...
cut a big ol' slice and dig in!
