We tried this recipe a few nights ago
and I must say most delicious!
I really love Rice-A-Roni and was able to create
this one-dish meal in a matter of minutes.
It's a great break from the pot pie casseroles.
Hope you enjoy!
1 box Chicken-flavor Rice-A-Roni
1 can Cream Of Chicken & Mushroom Soup
8 oz Sour Cream
1 whole Rotisserie Chicken
6 oz can Durkee French-fried Onions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Prepare Rice-A-Roni according to package directions.
While that is cooking, shred the chicken.
When Rice-A-Roni is done, add the can of soup
and the sour cream, and stir to combine.
Add the chicken and mix together.
Spread mixture into 9x13 baking dish and bake,
uncovered, at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Remove from oven, cover with the
french-friend onions and bake for 5 more minutes.

My computer is giving me issues and not wanting to post the picture with all the ingredients...
it's like that sometimes...
and I've tried reasoning with it to no avail...
sigh..
so imagine this...
The rotisserie chicken
the box of Chicken Flavor Rice A Roni
Campbells Chicken & Mushroom Soup
Sour Cream
Durkee French Fried Onions
There....that's better...
Start with making the Rice A Roni
according to the package directions...
I always forget how much I love this!
Mmmm...
While it's simmering, prepare the chicken...
Just look at him waiting patiently to become something awesome!
It's all shredded...
In a large bowl, combine the chicken, soup and sour cream...
Add the Rice A Roni...
Looks promising!
Pour into your casserole dish and bake
at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle on the onions
and bake another 5 minutes.
Absolutely delicious!!!
Remember the old game Password?
As a little girl, I used to love to watch it during summer vacation...
remember when there were game shows on every day
instead of "reality TV"...
yes, those were the days!
A comparison of Kaia and Noah recently
reminded me of this show.
When Kaia was tiny and learning to talk,
she would say something to us.
Of course we wouldn't understand at all.
She would then look at us intently, fold her little hands
and say it again, calmly.
The way she would look at us and wait for us to "get it"
was the way the contestants used to
stare at each other on the Password show!
She was so patient with us!!
Noah on the other hand, is another story.
He may tell you something and he may not.
But either way, he expects you to immediately
anticipate what he needs!
If you don't, there's no second chance
and you can bet a meltdown may be very close!
It's sweet to see them communicate with each other though.
They were over for dinner a few Sunday's ago and
Noah was excitedly telling Kaia something--
grand hand gestures included!
I said, "Wow, Kaia...Noah sure does have a lot to say to you!"
"I know," she said. "It's the same story he told me yesterday."
Cracked us all up!
Apparently they understand each other
and what could be sweeter than that!
