Rosemary Citrus Turkey

This has become one of our favorite turkey recipes.
I know your grandmothers used to sit up all night with the turkey and baby it, baste it, watch it and make sure it was
perfectly moist and delicious for the holiday meal...
Well, not this girl!  I do have to have some sleep, you know!
That's why I love my Reynolds Turkey bags.
The turkey always comes out beautifully brown,
 so very juicy...
and...
the cooking time doesn't require a piece of your soul!

Rosemary Citrus Turkey

1-- 10-12 pounds turkey
2 limes, sliced
2 lemons, sliced
1 large orange, sliced
1 apple, quartered
1/2 stick butter, room temperature
Rosemary Herb Seasoning
Morton's Nature Seasoning
Celery Salt
Reynolds Turkey Bag

The night before, prepare the turkey.
Rub all over with the butter
and spices, very generously.

Prepare your cooking bag as per directions on the box.

Place the thawed turkey in the cooking bag and
stuff the cavity with the sliced apple and as many
slices of limes, oranges and lemons as will fit.

Whatever limes, oranges and lemons
you have left over,
secure them with toothpicks and place all over the turkey.

Bake on 350 degrees for 2 hours.
Let sit about 15 minutes before carving.
    **********

    The beginning of something wonderful....

    the orange is missing...

    it's ok...we'll recover him later...

    Chop and slice the fruit...

Prepare the turkey with the butter, spices and fruit...

    Remember...use the spices very generously

and rub them into the butter...

you really cannot overdo it...I promise!

    Prepare the cooking bag...

place the turkey inside and seal the cooking bag...

two ours later...beautiful, delicious slices of turkey await...

Our yummy Thanksgiving meal of 2013!

And just a perk...I got to spend time with my

sweet son, Daniel and our beautiful Paige...

Those two are a delight to my heart!

Hope your holidays are as beautiful as well!
