Baked Parmesan Pork Chops

Am I the only one who makes lists
and then cannot read my handwriting?

I was at work the other day and because I am a "list-maker",
I am constantly jotting down things that come to me.

I later was looking over the grocery list that I had made...
sour cream, butter, milk
and something I could not decipher
but looked like small handgun....

you know, the usual...
dairy products and a small handgun...

The handsome fella was very proud though.
He said I never text him a grocery list that exciting :)

Now, I have started to use my notepad on my phone
to try to prevent the above issue.
I will constantly add things to the notepad list
and erase each item when I buy them.

At the end of one week recently, I pulled up the list
and all it had left on it were these two items...
  donuts and tights...
really made me chuckle!!

Maybe if donuts were not on the grocery list,
I wouldn't need new tights...
just saying...:)

Sharing a delicious baked pork chop recipe today.
It's so quick and easy--enjoy!

Baked Parmesan Panko Pork Chops

1/4 cup all purpose flour/or/Kentucky Colonel Seasoned Flour--My favorite!!

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp celery salt

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

2 eggs

1 TBSP yellow mustard or Dijon

1 1/2 cups panko bread crumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan

2 tsp olive oil

6 bone-in pork chops

Heat oven to 425 degrees.

You'll need 3 shallow containers for your assembly line--

I used my pie plates.

In the first plate, combine the flour, garlic powder,
celery salt and cayenne.

In the second plate, whisk the eggs and the mustard.

In your third container, combine the panko,
Parmesan and oil.

Coat the chops in the flour, then the egg mixture,

and last in the panko mixture.

Place the pork chops on your baking sheet.

Bake 25-35 minutes and let rest 5 minutes before serving.   ************************************************************************

The yummy ingredients...

The lovely pork chops...

give them some salt and pepper love or my favorite...
Morton's Nature Seasoning...:)

I really should be their spokesperson...
just saying...

Mix the flour and spices in a shallow dish...

Put the eggs and mustard in the 2nd assembly line dish...

and whisk until it's crazy bright yellow like this...

Put the panko and Parmesan in another dish...

Add the 2 TBSP olive oil to the panko Parmesan mixture
and combine until coated well...

Your pork chop assembly line should now look like this!

Step 1:  Dredge a chop in the flour....

Coating well on both sides...

Now time to dunk it in the egg and mustard bath...

Coat the chop well on each side...

Last but not least...coat in the panko Parmesan mixture...

And they will look perfect like this...:)

I placed mine on my baking stone or you can use a baking sheet...

After baking at 400 for 35-40 minutes,
they will be completely awesome like this!

We served them with a side of wild rice,
baby limas and corn muffins...
absolutely delicious!
