We had a Tropical Celebration at work this week!
We're all a little tired of the cold weather
and we're dreaming some island dreams...
So...I made my Hawaiian Pulled Pork...yum!
It's another one of our easy recipes you can toss
into the crock pot and you'll come home to a wonderful meal.
Serve it up on those scrumptious King's Hawaiian Rolls
and let the party begin :)

Hawaiian Pulled Pork
California Lemon Peel
Morton's Nature Seasoning
Garlic Seasoning
Celery Salt
5-7 lb pork roast
Season the roast all over with a generous amount
of all of the seasonings.
Rub the seasoning really well into the roast.
Place the roast in your crockpot or dutch oven.
In the crockpot, cook on low for 8 hours.
If you cook the roast in the oven, set the temperature
at 250 degrees and cook for 8 hours.
Shred the pork, place in large skillet and
add the Hawaiian Bar-B-Q Sauce.
Serve on the King's Hawaiian Rolls or buns of your choice.

The cast of characters...
You're going to season the roast all over
really well with the spices...
no measuring involved...
just keep seasoning and rubbing in...
You can put it in your crockpot and cook it all day or night...
I used my most favorite Pampered Chef baking stone...
I just plopped that wonderful roast in there, covered it up and cooked it 8 hours in the oven on 250 degrees...
The delicious smell drove us crazy all night....
and in the morning...
it looked perfect like this...
In a large skillet, transfer all the meat and shred,
discarding the fat and the hard brown crusty pieces...
And pulled pork perfection :)
Now we're going to make our barbq sauce...
One of my Aunt's used to always make this
when I was growing up...
she and my uncle would have us over for grilled chicken
and this sauce was delicious with it...or with anything grilled! :)
Hawaiian Bar-B-Q Sauce
32 oz ketchup
1/2 cup vinegar
1 cup brown sugar
1 stick of butter
3 TBSP mustard
Put the ketchup and butter in a large saucepan...
add the brown sugar...
the vinegar and the mustard...
For this Hawaiian Pork recipe,
I added 1/2 cup of pineapple juice...
just to make it Hawaiian--e...:)
Stir and bring to a slow boil...
Simmer about 30-45 minutes...
Then I poured it on the shredded pork...
It was sooo verrrrry goooood!!!
I didn't get a picture of it on the Hawaiian Rolls...
but you can use your imagination :)
