Bacon, Lettuce & Fried Green Tomato Sandwich

I spent my day off with my bestest friend in the whole world
and we went to an awesome little farmer's market in Daphne, AL.
I was able to get some green tomatoes to fry and thought
I'd recreate a sandwich I'd seen on a menu recently...
It didn't disappoint!
Bacon, Lettuce & Fried Green Tomato Sandwich

Bacon
Lettuce
Green Tomatoes
Bread of your choice
Breading of your choice:  I love, love, love Kentucky Colonel Seasoned flour!
You can also just use flour or corn meal as well for your breading.
Mayo or sandwich spread of your choice

The yummy ingredients...

Fry the bacon and drain on paper towels while you prepare your tomatoes...

Look at these tomatoes!!
The green ones were regular tomato size and
the red ones were just mammoth sized!

The best mayo in the world...

Bread the tomatoes and fry them in oil...

They will look lovely like this...

Drain and lay them on paper towels while you prepare the bread...

I bought this huge 3 ft long loaf of French Bread in the market...it was just perfect!

I brushed it with butter and toasted it...

I piled on the mayo, lettuce, fried green tomatoes and bacon...

Delish!!  Hope you enjoy!
