While our theme seems to be "grillin" for this holiday week,
I thought I'd share a milkshake we tried last Sunday
when the kids were here for dinner.
It was quite yummy and refreshing!
If you were so inclined to take it to the next level, a splash of Pineapple Rum would be most delicious in it as well.
Adults only of course...
Enjoy :)
Grilled Pineapple Milkshake
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/3 pint pineapple sherbet
1/3 pint vanilla ice cream
1 golden pineapple cored and quartered
1/2 cup melted butter
Brush pineapple with melted butter.
Grill until golden brown. Cool.
To your blender, add
the pineapple, juice,
sherbet and ice cream. Blend until creamy.
*********************************************************************************
The yummy ingredients...
Drain the pineapples...
Dip each one in the melted butter...
Grill the slices until they are golden in color
and have those beautiful grill marks...
Cool completely...
When pineapples are cool, place the sherbet, ice cream,
pineapple juice and the grilled pineapples in your blender...
Blend until smooth and creamy...
Pour into your summery glasses and enjoy!
