Fresh Strawberry Pie

Nothing says summer like strawberry pie and whipped cream.
The hardest part will be to not eat all those sweet strawberries while you're slicing them for the pie!

Fresh Strawberry Pie

1 baked pie crust
1 1/2 qts strawberries, sliced
1 cup sugar
2 TBSP cornstarch
1 cup boiling water
1 (3oz) pkg strawberry jello

In saucepan, mix sugar and cornstarch and blend completely.
Add the boiling water and cook over medium heat
until the mixture thickens.
Remove from heat and add the jello; stir until smooth.
Let mixture cool completely.
Place strawberries into baked pie shell.
Pour the jello mixture over the strawberries.
Refrigerate at least 2 hours and serve with whipped cream.
