This was a new side sauce I tried this year
and it was so very yummy with the turkey!

Fried Pies and Fireflies Cranberry Chutney1 lb fresh cranberries1 cup sugar1 cup water1/2 cup brown sugar2 tsp cinnamon1/2 tsp ground cloves1/4 tsp allspice1 cup chopped apple1/2 cup golden raisins1/4 cup red pepper jellyIn a large saucepan, combine first seven ingredients.Cook over medium heat until berries pop--about 15 minutes.Add the chopped apple and raisins.Simmer uncovered, until thickened, about 15 minutes.Remove from heat and stir in the red pepper jelly.Stir until the jelly is melted.Transfer to your serving bowl and refrigerate overnight.

The cast of ingredients...
In your saucepan, combine your water, sugar, brown sugar...
the fresh cranberries...
the spices...
Cook them over medium heat about 15 minutes...
the cranberries will start popping...
this is apparently a good thing...
Add the raisins...
and the apples...
you can add a green apple if you like...
I happen to only like red delicious...so red delicious it is..:)
After simmering another 15 minutes...
remove from heat and add 2 TBSP of the red pepper jelly...
stir until it's melted..
Refrigerate overnight and serve along side of
your main meat dish for the holidays!
Just look at how beautiful it was with the turkey!
